My Inspiration..

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine after the rain
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready to answer your call .

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips can calm every fear.

Your sorrows may linger throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish at dawn's early light.

The Saviour is waiting somewhere above,
To give you His grace and send you His love.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
God always sends rainbows after the rain

Ek Beedi!!

It was around 8 in the morning, and the city was bustling with the chaos of school kids dressed up in their uniforms, carrying a load of school bags on their backs with colourful and cartoon sketched water bottles in their hands.

It is always nice to see the school kids as they are the only group of humans who don’t carry stress like adults. Children always give their burden to elders, but adults can’t as they are always overburdened by the word called “responsibility”. We can also be like them if we give all our burdens to God, but, it’s easy to hear and say and difficult to follow.

Every day we are under stress; we are so much bothered about a lot of things from politics to financial markets, from the personal life of celebrities to crime around us, from bomb blasts to the signing of the nuclear deal and from the work pressure of job to the emotional pressure of family. With all such thoughts juggling inside my skull, I was waiting for my bus to college. I became alert as soon as I saw the yellow bus coming near to me. It stood at its usual stop and I could see some waving hands and some screams of “Hi “ “hello” “good morning” etc. and I thought “My friends, why do they always get excited whenever they see me?” well I am like that, I like boasting about myself even in my thoughts. I went inside the bus and gave a big grin to everyone and took my seat by the window.  My college being on the outskirts of the city, it took around 2 hours to reach, first, we passed through tall apartments, flashy shopping malls, offices with glass buildings, hoarding of beautiful girls and guys drinking soft drinks, eating chocolates, talking on mobile, washing clothes etc and bustling street with kids, office going crowd and row of cars. Then we took a turn to the G.T road, I could see only dust, trucks, mechanic shops and roadside dhabas with small kids in filthy clothes cleaning tables and shops with more swarthy and dingy kids waiting for some blessings from the dhaba walas in form of some remaining morsels. When one part of society is getting educated the other part is fighting hard for their basic needs. That is the real world.

Then we took a turn again to a more remote place, here I felt some fresh air passing through my nostrils and I saw small shops, farms and a lot of milkmen, vegetable sellers etc. getting ready to catch city buses, they might be vendors in the city and amidst all these things I saw an old lady sitting under a banyan tree. She had swathed herself in a cotton saree and on top of it a torn blanket and here and there I could see the pieces of the shawl. Although the climate was not so harsh for her to clad in so many clothes, I had the instinct that she might have spent the entire night under the banyan tree. The sudden jerk of the bus scattered my thoughts about the woman and I just gave a glance at my peers. They were dissolved in their chit-chats and I too joined with them until we reached the college.

On the return journey from college to home, I became alert when our bus passed by that banyan tree and to my astonishment, I saw that woman again, but this time she was lying down. I called a few of my peers and told them about her. They didn't take it seriously, but I had some strange feelings for her, maybe curiosity or sympathy. Well the next day I again saw her in the same position and informed all my peers, even they wondered. Next day while coming back from the college, we stopped our bus near the banyan tree and bunch of us got down and went to the lady. She was sitting cross-legged, her eyes were sunken deep inside her socket, and her swarthy complexion was looking wrinkled and pale. Her thin and grey hairs were dry and dirty as if she hasn’t washed and oiled them for years. We asked her about her home and she replied “Mera koi nahi hai”(I don’t have anyone). I felt a pinch of sympathy and I asked her “Kuch chaiye amma?” (Mother, you want anything?) and she replied “ Ek beedi kared ke dedo betiya” (Just get me a cigarette, daughter) and I got furious when I heard the word “beedi” I told her “ yeh sab ganti cheez hai, uski apko jarrorat nahi hai, chalo aap ke liye chai late hai” (It’s a bad thing and you should not have it, I will get you tea) I said that and went with few people and got her Tea and snacks and left her as we were getting late.

On the return journey, we were discussing contacting some old age home, so that they can come and pick her up. A few of my peers even called some people to get some contact details about the old age home and finally they got one contact and we told them about the woman. They told us that we have to go to their organization and should take them to the spot. So, we all planned to go to the old age home in the morning and get the responsible person to bring that old woman from there. The next day early in the morning I, along with two of my friends went to the old age home and spoke to the person responsible. They insisted on a lot of formalities, so we thought on the way back we will call one of our faculties also so that all the formalities can be done without any complications. We called our bus driver and told him to pick us up from the next stop. As the bus passed by the banyan tree, I saw a few people surrounded by the tree. I got very anxious and told the conductor to stop the bus. We got down and moved the crowd to see and I saw the woman lying down, her eyes were closed and her mouth was half opened as if she has left her last breath from the mouth. One man was saying "I saw her sitting here for the past one week" and one woman said, "I was the first one to see her in the morning lying like this". I got very confused and I didn’t know how to react the only words which were echoing inside my head was “Ek beedi kared ke dedo betiya” (Just get me a cigarette, daughter) and I thought “I wish I could have fulfilled her last wish”. Sometimes life never gives a second chance to make things better!

Nice to meet you 'Stranger' !

Don’t believe in stranger everyone says, but this was really different.
“Alice, make it fast, I have to reach station, and my train is at 6:30, where are you?” I was screaming in my mobile and Alice spoke from the other side “I just got the auto. I will reach in ten minutes” and I moved towards the college gate as Alice, my ex-roommate in hostel, was coming to drop me to station. Alice came to college half drenched even though she was in an auto. The monsoon of Kerala will never allow you or your things to be dry and crispy. She gave me a hug and asked about Anupama, my best friend and I said “We will take an auto and on the way we will pick up Anupama , I have informed her, she will be waiting for me”. She agreed to it, and on the way towards Ernakulam south station we collected Anupama and as usual we were busy in our chit chats that we didn’t even realize how soon we covered an hour’s journey towards station.
We got down at the back side of the station, after few minutes we heard the announcement “Passengers be alert, train No. 2678 from Ernakulam to Nizamuddin, Nizamuddin express will be soon arriving at platform no. 4” and the announcement went on in different languages.
I brought one pack of biryani and some fruits and then boarded the train, Alice and Anupama also came inside, we started scrutinizing my berth and the people in my neighboring berth who are going to share their valuable time with me for another 48 hours. As usual we were not bothered about our seat, but were curious to know who is sharing the next seat.
Anupama said “You are going to have one boring journey, see all old people are there.”
I looked around and saw one old man, two elderly women and a small kid. Suddenly one Guy came inside. He seemed to be in his mid twenties and was wearing half sleeves turquoise color t-shirt and had a well built physique. We all looked at him, and for a fraction of second we were mesmerized by his looks. Then Alice broke the ice and whispered in my ear
“Handsome guy yaar.. look at his muscle, now don’t worry at all, he will definitely take care of you”.
I got furious and said “Shut up, yaar.. What’s wrong with you?”. Alice was perplexed with my statement; she might have thought it’s better to keep quiet rather than getting into argument with me. Well I am bit argumentative and sometimes my friends feel that silence is the best doze that they can give for this incurable disease of mine.
We regained our chit-chats and now and then from the corner of our eye we would glance at the guy. He was listening to our conversation and smiling.
The train engine gave the signal, Alice and Anupama gave me a hug and got down. I arranged my baggage and took my side berth near the window and started staring outside. It was dark and I could hardly see anything. Suddenly it started raining heavily and water started gushing through the window and I got panicky and started to pull the casement of the window, since the jamb was slightly rusted it was not coming down. This stranger was watching me getting anxious, so he asked “Shall I?” I was not in a mood to start a conversation with him, but since I was helpless I said “ya” and moved slightly from my seat, so that he can pull down the casement. He pulled the casement down but unfortunately the water on top splashed right onto my seat. I got furious and instead of being thankful I screamed “What have you done?” he said “Sorry! Well It’s not that wet, you can wipe it off”. I said “It will dry itself” and moved a bit away from the water. He felt very sorry and took his handkerchief from his pocket and started to wipe the water. I got very agitated when I saw his funny behavior and stopped him and thought “these guys they are always looking for a chance to impress girls, instead of me if it were some old women I am sure he wouldn’t even have bothered to pull down the window. Nasty guy”.
Next moment he stood up and started arranging his baggage, and then he took out one magazine from his knapsack and started reading, after few minutes he stood up again and started flaunting his muscles. I could make out that he was getting impatient and he wanted to break the ice. Since I was already agitated with him, I didn’t even bother to look at him and started gobbling down the biryani like a glutton.
After few hours ticket checker in black cloak came. I showed him the ticket and requested him to change my berth as it was side upper and not safe for females, especially when travelling alone. The ticket checker said he can only help if someone else is ready to exchange their berth. The stranger who was watching the entire drama felt sympathy for me and told the ticket checker “I will exchange my seat”. I was flabbergasted and said “Thanks!” he smiled and seemed to be relieved to have accomplished the arduous task of breaking the ice.
After that I felt gratified towards him, and started our conversation. He told me he was working with Indian Navy in Cochin and was going home for Diwali after four years. I could see the excitement in his eyes. He was so busy serving the country that he didn’t even get time to celebrate one festival with his family from past four years. Poor chap!!. Now and then I was cribbing about the long journey and he told me “ Your destination is Delhi, but for me I have to take another train from Delhi and it will take another 5-6 more hours to reach, as my house is in Haryana and there is no direct train from Cochin till my place.” After that he started saying about his adventures stories in navy and I was listening to all his stories very patiently as it had lot of excitement and adventures involved in it.
Finally my destination came and I unlocked my luggage; it was two bags and one suitcase. I was wondering how I would carry my bags and get down and wished someone could have helped me. The stranger saw my luggage and said “I will help you to take down your baggages.” I said “It’s okay I will manage, you can leave as you have to board another train”. He said “That’s fine with me; my friend is there in different compartment he will buy tickets for me.” Suddenly, one guy came from another compartment and met the stranger and they started planning about boarding another train. Nizamuddin station came and the stranger apart from his knapsack took my luggage like Hercules and bought it till platform and said “Goodbye!” and went off with his friend.
I was standing in platform surrounded with my luggage and it was around 7:30 p.m. I called up my sister and asked “Where are you? I have reached Delhi.” She said “ I am trapped in traffic , I will reach in 30 mins and stay there only.” I kept my mobile and turned around to look my surrounding. The station was overcrowded with laborers and I was feeling estranged standing there all alone. Suddenly I heard a voice “Hello! Your sister didn’t come?”
“Gosh! The same stranger” I was astonished and asked him “you didn’t get your train?”
He said “Actually, I missed it”
“How?” I exclaimed.
He didn’t say anything, so I asked “Where is your friend?”.
Then he said “He boarded the train.”
“Then how come you missed it?” I asked.
He said “I saw you standing all alone, so I thought I will help you, anyways I will get a bus from outside.”
I was astounded and didn’t know how to react. He took one candy from his pocket and extended towards me. I said “Thanks, but I don’t feel like having it”. He said “Maam, it’s not poisonous ,if you don’t trust me you can have once you reach home.” I smiled and took the candy and kept it in my bag. He saw that and said “so you don’t trust me” and I laughed it off.
After ten minutes my sister came. I introduced him to my sister; my sister was least interested in him. As my sister was about to take my baggage, he said “wait! I will pick it up.” Then he took the entire baggage till auto stand and said “Goodbye! Take care. Hope we will meet again”. I didn’t knew what to say or how to react, I was totally perplexed with the entire situation and just said “bye!” and I was regretting for being so rude to him.
Life is like that, sometimes we are so busy with our selfishness, arrogance and suspiciousness that we fail to understand that even good souls exist. Sometimes we even fail to understand God’s miracles. We never know when he sends his angels to help us.

Look into my eyes!!

Tragedies happen, miracles happen and even incidents happen, but I am a person who will always have such incident in life which makes me perplexed, expressionless, speechless and clueless. Here goes one more incident of my life.
“I will come by 5 O’clock, if you are going to office give me a call or go down and take breakfast before 9 as mess will close by that time” screamed my sister then banged the door and went to her office. I sheepishly got up from my bed and thought “my sister should have been some matron or warden; her screams are perfect for that”.
“Good Morning didi and how are you feeling now?” asked Neha.
Neha is my sister’s roommate, since she is cabin crew she looked glamorous even without makeup. I said “good morning” back and wondered “how can some girls be so wonderful that you just can’t take your eye away from them? hmm God’s creation only he knows the answer”. I got up half heartedly and had some gossips with Neha, then she left to touch the sky on the wings of man made bird (airplane). I was left all alone in room with some teddy bear lying here and there staring at me. I never understood the reason for girls being so attached to soft toys, I always found it to be ridiculous and unhygienic, these girls really don’t understand the amount of dust that accumulates on these funny little dead creatures and always hug them as if it’s their real pets.
Since I was not feeling well and didn’t had proper sleep after the food poisoning so couldn’t gain the courage to go to office and that too in bus. The bus journey in Delhi is not that enchanting; you really need some courage to go, so I thought I will call up my boss and take a sick leave. I called him up and he granted me leave and I thought “It’s not even a month since I joined and he is such a nice person to grant me leave.” Well my boss is really a nice person; you ought to be lucky in this world to get a nice boss and I am few among the lucky ones. Cheers!
I was about to get up to take some medicine for my curable disease, suddenly someone knocked the door, although I was feeling tired but somehow I managed to reach till door. I opened the door and saw one fair and tall girl, she asked me
“Has Neha Left?”
I said “ya, it’s been an hour since she left for her office”.
“I stay in the last room of this corridor” she said.
Before she could ask my details I told her “I am Jenny’s sister” she didn’t seem to be interested in my sister’s name and said
“I don’t know Jenny”.
I got agitated when I heard this and thought
“My sister is so bad in socializing with people, the girls in her hostel doesn’t even know her”.
Then she asked “Do you know to put ‘Kajal’? Actually Neha told me she will put it for me, but since she had already left, Can you help me with this?”
I was wonder-struck and during the entire conversation she was not looking at me, she was looking somewhere else and I wondered whether she has squint eyes. With the helping intention I told her
“ya, why not? Come inside, although I am not as expert as Neha but definitely I can give a try”
She said “It’s okay! Neha is cabin crew she will be expert in makeup, anyways I will stand here and you put it for me”
“Crazy!” I thought and said “hey! You are tall, I can’t reach till your eyes, come inside and sit I will put it nicely for you”
She sat on the nearby bed and extended the kajal towards me. I took the kajal and tried to open it but since it was new model and had some different technique of opening it I was struggling hard to open it, but that girl was least bothered and was staring somewhere else and didn’t even bother to help me. I got furious, but somehow finally the kajal stick popped out.
I asked her “Do you want me to put it thick?” she said
“I usually don’t put kajal, but today since I am going out with my friends I thought of dressing up well. You can make anyway you like”
and I started my Herculean task of drawing Kajal, as I was about to draw I noticed her eyes, her eyes was one of the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, it was elongated and almond shaped, she even had thick eye lashes. I felt like I am drawing some beautiful pair of eyes. When I finished my task I saw her eyes and thought “she got beautiful eyes, she should put kajal everyday to make it more graceful” I somehow didn’t feel like telling her this and told her to take a look at mirror to see whether it’s proper.
“I know it will be proper, anyways thanks a ton for helping me” saying this she left the room.
In the evening when Neha came I told her about the entire incident and asked her “Is she squint?”
Neha said “She doesn’t have squint eyes didi, she is blind.”
I was speechless and cold, I felt like someone has drained the blood out of my body and screamed “What??” then Neha said “ya! That’s true, she works from the hostel and she had been provided with the system meant for blind people and only once in a week she goes to office to submit her work”.
I was astonished and thought “how can God give her such a beautiful eyes without sight?” Well only God will have answer for it.
Nothing is perfect in this world, look at the peacock although it’s the most beautiful bird but its voice is awful similarly listen to cuckoo’s voice it so melodious but it doesn’t look good.
God’s miracles only he knows the answer, but he definitely have certain plan for all of us and that too better than we have for ourselves.

Blessed Valentine's Day!

Sorry I couldn’t post this on V day itself as I had a small break up with my laptop, and then I had to take it to nice PC shop, then what we patched up again. These PC’s nah trust me they too need an equal pampering like your lovers. Since I love my laptop and when it broke up with me on V day I was really disheartened, but cupid didn’t wanted me to be upset , so cupid made it miraculous for me.
Now let me grab your attention to the world renowned day for lover’s i.e. Valentines Day. Even before the day starts there is much hype about this day, we can read lot about love in news papers, can see lot of advertisement in idiot box, can read lot of predictions and compatibility test of various zodiac signs etc.
In Shakespeare’s drama “Merchant of Venice “a character named Jessica says: “Love is blind and lovers cannot see the pretty follies that themselves commit.” Love was blind during Shakespeare’s time but not any more, today for youngsters like us love has become a commercialized thing. It’s really funny, but that’s the truth.
Well now let me tell you what was there in store for me on this special day.
14th Feb 2009: I woke up from my sweet dreams when I heard my cell phone ringing, “gosh my sister” I said as I saw her name flashing on the screen. I pressed the green button and she spoke from other side “before you leave from home just give me a call, I will be waiting for you near central secretariat metro station, okay! and please be on time” after saying that she banged the phone. Then I remembered, I had told her that I will be staying at her hostel for a day before leaving Delhi, during my Delhi visit. I got ready and reached at the metro station near to my uncle’s house and from there I had to take three metro trains to reach at my sister’s place.
As I reached metro station I could make out that it was V day, “there is really something special about this day”, I thought as I saw few youngsters carrying flowers, cards, a big smile and excitement on there face, but to my astonishment more than youngsters there were young married couples with there small babies and most of them were baby girls. “Strange, may be it’s week end that’s why?” I thought and walked towards the platform and waited there for the arrival of train. I was surrounded by young married couples carrying there babies. As I saw babies I had a strange feeling that all babies are looking at me then someone inside my skull screamed “Jinsy, you are crazy if you look at someone they will also look back at you even if they are babies” and I said “yeah true”. Next minute train arrived doors opened automatically and I stepped in manually, got a seat near the door itself, by luck. In metro’s you have to be lucky to get seat. Inside train there were lot of excited faces carrying flowers, gift etc. , lot of disheartened faces thinking about there lost loves and some expressionless faces , these faces are difficult one to understand , no one can guess whether they are happy or sad. Among all these people I could see 5-6 babies and all were looking happy “Babies love travelling, I guess” I thought.
After few min I heard the announcement “The next station is Kahmere gate, please change here for red line”. “Oh! I have to get down” I thought and got up from my seat. As soon as I got up one lady with a baby sat on my seat. I saw the baby, she was wearing light blue frock with lot of frills and had two milk teeth like bunny and I guess she might have been a year old. As soon as she saw me she started smiling showing her bunny teeth , I felt weird but then I too smiled back then I started gazing outside to see whether the platform has reached or not. Next second I could feel someone pulling my kurta I looked down it was same baby then I glanced at her again and gave a smile. Her mother took her hand from my kurta and tried to grab her attention to another kid nearby, but this baby girl she again started pulling my kurta and then she started giving flying kiss. This time I was totally confused, so I just tried to shake hands with her. By that time the train stopped and I got down, after getting down I looked at the baby again, I was wonderstruck to see her looking at me and waving hands and she was continuously smiling showing her bunny teeth. “Strange” I thought and moved towards another platform as I have to catch two more metro trains to reach at my sister’s place.
I got into another train to get down at Rajiv chowk, this time the train was very crowded and I wasn’t lucky enough to get seat, so I was standing and staring at the flashing board at the same time thinking about that baby and her innocent smile. My concentration broke, when I heard a baby crying. I looked at her, she was playing tantrums with her mother, she wanted to sit on the floor of train and her mother was trying hard to keep her on the seat. Finally she won and she got down from the seat. Next minute she came near me and started pulling my kurta. I was aghast and said “not again” and thought “Definitely, there is something wrong with my kurta, or these kids won’t pull it. It can mean only two things either these kids are fascinated with my kurta or they don’t want to see me in this kurta”. Like last time I gave her a smile, but she didn’t leave me she started playing with my kurta and started laughing, but this time no mothers came for my rescue. My destination arrived I got down and when I looked back I saw her waving her hand at me.
“Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time." I thought about these lines from Alchemist and moved forward to another platform, as I stepped down from the escalators I felt like someone grabbing my feet, I looked down and saw a small boy holding my leg then I turned back and saw his mother running towards me. She said “he is just 2 years old and see how naughty he is” and I said “yeah” then she took him and started walking away, but the boy turned back and gave a smile and waved his hand at me. I was happy and felt blessed and thought “babies are the angels send by God, and these angles have wished you Valentines Day. Happy Valentines’ Day, Jinsy”.
In the evening I took my bible and read the lines about love written in bible. It goes like this:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. . .And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. [ 1 Corinthians 13:4-13]
An unconditional love is like that, i.e God’s love. Does this love exist among us??

Branded Love

Does true love exist in this 21st century or has it dissolved itself in romantic novels, movies or old tales. In movies, novels and all we can hear about the stories of great lovers like Radha and Krishna, Romeo and Juliet, Heer and Ranjan, Shah Jahan and Mumtaz and the new one Jodha and Akbar, I never knew that they were great lovers until and unless I saw the movie, but who is greatest lovers in this century? Are they among us??
Well one quote has always attracted me a lot, and that is “The only constant thing in this world is change” and that’s there everything has changed even the meaning of love.
Just look around you can you see anyone committed with one person for a long time without any conditions. An unconditional love, is it there?? For the youngsters like us making a boyfriend and girl friend has just became a “Fad” not even “fashion” as fashion remains to be for a longer period in the market. It’s like wearing a branded stuff. Take a case of guys they prefer to have a Rebook or Nike shoes, Pepe jeans and say a cool Peter England shirt, fast track’s sunglasses and off course can it be less than swizz watches, well if you can afford one or say titan watches and to fit all these things they prefer a well build gym body, but still the poor chap can’t be glamorous fellow until and unless he got a girl friend. Don’t be in so hurry you think any girl will do for such brand conscious and glamour’s guys no, here you make the mistake. They want beautiful, sexy and smart girls. Guys one more thing you got to have a big heart to spend likewise because money has its own language and glamour. Now let’s look at the other picture what does a girl do and what is her perception about love and boy friends.
Few decades before, we use to hear that the girl from a well off family ran away with the milk-man, post-man, driver etc.. but now it has changed even girls have changed, they know that milk-man, post-man can’t be your lovers as status matters.
Although till now in some areas even I do agree our society is a male dominated society, but not like before girls are becoming smarter and her perception is changing, very few girls prefer to get married have kids and settle down, they want their own independence, free of thought and off course a glamour’s guy who can be carried like a branded accessories. Girls still prefer a guy who is much more capable than her, its female psychology.
So where is love gone either it’s hiding under your conditions or under your circumstances you name it or blame it.
If you have something unique or something common it should match with the trend, then you will get love.
Funny world with funny people, but I still love this world because I am also the part of it may be funny!!

A splendid evening with Andy

“Oh those white legs, they look so sexy!” screamed Andy , I just kept my coffee on table and looked at Andy , he said “look there” and I could see two pairs of leg of two old white men sitting inside an auto. Then I gave a glance to Anu and Faiz and we all broke into laughter and I said “Andy, you are so crazy for whites that you didn’t even notice it is leg of old men” and he said “Jinsy, I am crazy for whites and I don’t care if it’s man or women, anyway white females are so hot” and I was aghast as I noticed his face, it was blushing, it became like chocolate and his eyes were looking like chocolate chips as Andy’s complexion is dark so it can’t be better than the color of chocolate and his eyes better than chocolate chips, to describe as well as to look :)
Okay ! now let me introduce you to Andy. An MBA in marketing and systems, good guitarist and singer, he was born in Kuwait, brought up in India and wants to become an American, so, sometimes he tries to talk like American Yankee by rolling the ‘R’s ‘and joining words :). He is very obsessed about his hair, and he takes very good care of it, in fact, he washes it with drinking water, now don’t assume his hair to be as long as Arjun Rampal’s in the movie “Rock on”, Andy has small hair which is properly trimmed and managed well. His second obsession is his complexion. Since he wants to be an American and passionate about whites he wants to look fair. In spite of using tubes of fair and handsome poor chap couldn’t make it better. Well it’s not his mistake, in the advertisement Shahrukh really gives hopes and inspiration to guys by making all hot beauties dance around the guys while saying “hi handsome”. His third obsession is to carry himself well, he always has good attire to match the situation, in fact always formals .So this was the small introduction about Andy. Being my batch mate and best friend of my best friend that is Anu he became my friend.
Now let’s get back to the CafĂ© CoffeeDay (CCD) and a splendid evening with Andy. This was our last meeting since all our exams were over and everyone of us were going back to our places for our respective tasks, so the mood was little gloomy , but the aroma of coffee and chocolate sauce in CCD and rain outside which we saw from the glass window of CCD made the mood light and relaxing. We were talking less and each one of us were looking outside to see the hustle and bustle of people due to rain and now and then we would give glance to each other and sometimes laughter would break out or just a simple smile. At times we would even do some conversation to lighten up the mood. Among all these things I forget to mention about one character that is Faiz, a good and renowned dancer of our batch and very quiet guy especially if he is in group. Once being my boy enemy and now a friend, we does not have much to talk, because if we talk it wouldn’t be more than fights so I thought not to awaken the devils residing in him and make the scenario worst. But he as usual would like to start of with some conversation which would make me and Anu bit irritated and all of a sudden in such situation the scream about white legs made us laugh with our heads on heels.
When Andy said “Jinsy, Iam crazy about whites” I said “even they are crazy for blacks” and then I noticed his face he was looking somewhat lost. I think may be in the dream of some white. After a long pause Andy broke his silence may be after thinking a lot he said “If India was as prosperous country like America then we could has also outsourced our services to Americans, and just imagine all the whites would come to me for jobs” after hearing this Faiz’s got very exited and I just noticed his face, his excitement made his eyes come out of his socket and he said “yeah! All the white girls will be after us for jobs, and if I am hiring I will hire only girls” and I started wondering if really such situation happened then it will be very funny. It will be so hard to train Americans for accent, because in India there are so many accents. Malayalam accent, Tamil accent, Bihar accent, Bengali accent etc. Moreover only urban population of India speaks English and rest of the population speaks their own local language with such thoughts inside my skull I just looked at Andy and asked “how is it possible, only urban population in India speaks English?” He said “yeah”.
Now I am not writing this blog to pull someone’s leg or to play with anyone’s sentiment. I am just wondering how things can be changed, hope the time will come when we have enough jobs in India that we will have to outsource our work to Americans and as developed as America so that we won’t be called as third world countries and the youngsters like Andy ambition will not be to become American but INDIAN, but few things can’t be changed like Indians crazy for whites and Americans crazy for brownies.
Well no one can be blamed the other side of grass is always green!!
